The Organisme d'autoréglementation du courtage immobilier du Québec (OACIQ) invites real estate brokerage students to a half-day exchange forum. 

You will be able to put all your questions to representatives of the real estate brokerage regulator, attend mini-conferences and discover the information and awareness tools made available to consumers. The forum is available in a hybrid format: in person or online. Click here to register.

Attend conferences related to your studies and ask your questions to the OACIQ experts.

10:00 am – Visiting the information booths* and the examination room. Exam preparation tips will be provided

Online – from 9:00 am to 10:30 am

9:00 am – Conferences
10:00 am – Chat session with a representative of the OACIQ Training Department

*When you attend in person, you will be able to visit information booths on:

  • Licence issuance process
  • Conditions to access the profession
  • FARCIQ: support in the event of a professional liability claim and insurance policy
  • Ethical issues
  • Brokerage forms

A one-hour certificate will be issued to virtual participants (representing the total duration of the conferences), while a 2-hour certificate will be issued to in-person attendees who will spend the full half-day with OACIQ experts.

This attendance certificate will be given to you so you can justify your absence to your educational institution.

Certification exams – by Cesar Dos Santos
This conference provides valuable advice to help you prepare for the OACIQ certification exams, from registering for the exam and applying for access to synbad.com to writing the exam and obtaining the results.  You will also learn about common mistakes, question types and exam formats.

Continuing education: A tool for elevating your skills – by Frédéric Aubert
In this conference, find out more about the Mandatory Continuing Education Program for real estate brokers, including how many units you need to earn, over what time period, as well as the monitoring and development tools available to you.

Conditions for issuing and maintaining a licence – by Sabrina Larivière and Michel Paquette
You will learn about the role of the Certification Department throughout your career as a real estate broker, the requirements when applying for a real estate broker's licence, as well as the controls carried out under the Real Estate Brokerage Act when entering the profession and when renewing a licence.  You will gain a better understanding of the role of the Licence Issue and Maintenance Committee, the nature of the cases submitted to it and the applicable criteria.

FARCIQ – the professional liability insurer of OACIQ licensees – by Enrico Martin from FARCIQ
What is the role and mission of FARCIQ?  What coverage is offered by the insurance policy? In what circumstances should compensation be paid by FARCIQ?  How is a claim handled?  At the end of this conference, you will be better informed about professional liability and the coverage offered to you as insured licensees.
